The Goalkeeper is the cornerstone of any successful team. This specialized position is trained separately as part of the Elite Camp experience, but is integrated into some training and match play to put their training into practice in live situations. This is an intense program designed to push the goalkeeper to new heights, literally and figuratively.

Growing Players

growing Players.

The Calvin Soccer Camps are designed to grow players and help them achieve the next level of success on the soccer field. We believe that players develop by being challenged and falling in love with the game of soccer.

Directed by Ryan Souders and Emily Ottenhoff, Head Coaches of the successful Calvin Men's and Women's soccer programs, the Calvin Soccer Camps create a challenging learning environment for each player where skills are taught and practiced in authentic game-like situations. Using the same methodologies that have made the Calvin University programs so successful, the camp program seeks to build on each player's strengths in a fun environment that encourages teamwork and instills a love for the game of soccer.

developing CHARACTER.

Soccer is called the beautiful game, but the soccer field is also a place where players learn valuable lessons about themselves and the world around them. The Calvin Soccer Camp develops campers' ability to succeed both on and off the field by learning about themselves, their capabilities and developing a growth mindset.

Campers will be mentored by coaches of high character who will teach them the importance of teamwork, servant leadership, effort, and the disciplines of building strong habits. This distinctive approach sets the Calvin Soccer Camp apart from other sports camps by prioritizing the development the whole person.

creating memories.

The #1 reason children play youth sports is to have fun. While the Calvin Soccer Camps are designed to grow players and help them develop as people, we want to make sure that above all, each camper has a fun camp experience and leaves the week with memories that will last a lifetime. From theme days to contests to camper challenges, each day is filled with something your child will want to tell you about. Most importantly, memories are made through the relationships developed between coaches and campers.

Over the course of the week, coaches deliberately get to know each camper and engage them in positive ways on a daily basis. The coach / camper relationship is one that campers will remember and cherish for a lifetime.
